About the event
Enter this exciting career field in health care. As a phlebotomist, you will be the one who draws blood and other specimens from patients, label the blood vials and specimen samples that you have filled, and transporting blood and specimen samples to the lab. During your phlebotomy classes, you will learn everything you need to know to join this exciting field including:
- Collecting blood samples from patients
- Proper patient identification
- Correct specimen identification
- Methods for drawing blood depending on the patient
- Centrifuge blood samples
- Infection control standards
You will receive your certification from the National Health Career Association - NHA.
